Alliance, OH- The Wooster Generals traversed through the snowy afternoon to embark on Alliance and the host Aviators on Tuesday evening. After a tightly contested opening quarter that saw Alliance take a 14-12 advantage thanks to a Sam Hays buzzer beating lay-in, Coach Che Richardson's Generals turned up the tempo in the 2nd quarter.

In the frame, the Generals outscored the host Aviators 20-11, led by Anthony Carmean who scored 7 in the quarter. The Generals carried a 32-25 advantage into the locker room.

In the 2nd half, Alliance Head Coach Chet Harper made a line-up change, opting to go with reserve wing Taije Nicholson to add a quickness element to their defense. The move paid dividends as Nicholson was responsible for a handful of pass break-ups leading to fast break buckets.

The upped intensity on the defensive end and athleticism was enough for the Aviators to pull away in the 4th quarter, building a double-digit lead after entering the final 8 minutes down 46-42.

On the night, the Aviators were led offensively by JR Jackson with 19, followed by Kam Burton with 17. Rounding out the Aviators in double figures was Sam Hays who scored 10. The Generals were led by Anthony Carmean who scored 14 before fouling out in the 4th quarter. The victory moves the Aviators to 7-4, while the loss drops the Generals to 7-5. The Aviators hit the road for 2 this weekend, with trips to Salem (Friday) and North Canton to take on Woodridge (Saturday).
