The Crestwood Red Devils are off to a strong start this season. In fact, over the first four games of the 2024 campaign, the Red Devils have compiled a 3-1 record, as they have defeated Rootstown, Minerva, and Beachwood.
In the Red Devils most recent contest against the Beachwood Bison, they started strongly as they went into halftime leading 32-0. Both teams then added touchdowns in the second half to make the final score 40-6.
Afterward, Red Devils head coach Jack D'Amato said that he was proud of how his team played.
“Just proud of how the guys competed (against the Bison),” said Coach D'Amato.
“Our varsity guys in the first half and the younger guys in the second half, they really did a great job across the board, really executing on offense and defense,”
Standout running back Nate Blasiole added,
“I am happy everyone got involved. I think four different people scored, JV got in the second half, I'm just happy about that.”
The Red Devils scored almost right away against the Bison as they took a 6-0 lead after a 2 play, 80-yard drive.
Scoring the first touchdown against the Bison was Bryce Giel who scored on a 75-yard touchdown run with 11:03 left in the first quarter.
Shortly thereafter, Blasiole added the Red Devils second touchdown of the first quarter on a 23-yard run. After the two point conversion, the Red Devils led 14-0.

The Red Devils then got a safety late in the first quarter to take a 16-0 lead.
The Red Devils extended their lead to 32-0 in the second quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by Blasiole and a 30-yard touchdown run by Michael Kalista.

After halftime, the Red Devils added a 4-yard touchdown run by Zephaniah Beverly as they went on to defeat the Bison 40-6.
In addition to defeating the Bison, the Red Devils have victories over the Rootstown Rovers and the Minerva Lions.
In the season opener against the Rovers, the Red Devils defeated their opponent 20-2.
Blasiole was dominant against the Rovers as he ran for 230 yards and two touchdowns.
Also, adding a touchdown in the season opener was Wyatt Januska, who had a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
In the 38-0 victory over the Minerva Lions in week two, Blasiole ran for 182 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, Charlie Sommer had two touchdowns and Kalista added another touchdown as the Red Devils soundly defeated the Lions.

For the season, after four games, Blasiole has now rushed for 699 yards on 89 carries (7.85 yards per carry) and has 6 touchdowns.
The Red Devils will next travel to Brooklyn on September 29th to take on the Hurricanes.
