On Wednesday the Cleveland Browns and Newsnet 5 announced their broadcast team for the three preseason games televised this 2022 season. Browns legend and former all-pro left tackle Joe Thomas will be joined in the broadcast booth by Cleveland native Chris Rose who was born in Shaker Heights, OH. Rose will handle the play-by-play duties with Thomas on color commentary. Joining the duo as the sideline reporter will be veteran NFL reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala.
With Rose handling play by play duties he gets to live out a dream of calling games for the team he grew up watching and loving. He has some experience having handled some play by play duties for FOX's NFL coverage. Thomas had withdrawn his name as a candidate to replace the retired Doug Dieken on the Browns regular season broadcast team because he wanted to spend more time with his family. Rose and Thomas have a long standing relationship. That and their love of Browns football should help them mesh well on the broadcast. Thomas currently works as an analyst for NFL Network.
Kinkhabwala will be a huge asset assisting the rookie broadcast team. She is one of the best NFL reporters in the game and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. She recently left the NFL Network after a 10-year career covering the NFL for the network.
Here is the Browns 2022 preseason schedule:
at Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday, August 12th at 7:00 PM
vs Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, August 21st at 1:00 PM
vs Chicago Bears on Saturday, August 27th at 7:00 PM
