The Guardians made their splash in the International free agent market signing 16 players including two who were ranked in the top 50. Here is a look at the full list of new Guardians prospects.
Jaison Chourio - OF - Venezuela
Chourio was ranked as the 26th best international prospect by Baseball America. He is a switch hitting outfielder who projects as a top of the order centerfielder. Solid arm strength and above average speed defensively. Fluid swinging the bat. Should develop some power as he grows into his body, His brother Jackson was signed by the Brewers in 2021 as an international free agent.

Victor Izturis - C - Venezuela
Izturis was ranked 41st in the Baseball America top 50 International prospects and the top catching prospect. At the plate he has a high baseball IQ and can be described as a line drive hitter. Despite currently having an average arm Izturis possesses all of the tools to be a solid defensive catcher. His uncles Cesar & Maicer Izturis are both former major leaguers.
Yanki Batista - SS - Dominican Republic
Did not sign with the initial class due to Covid protocols.
