Five Wildcats hit paydirt as Mogadore roughs up the Crusaders in 42-9 victory.

Mogadore OH- Mogadore Memorial Stadium saw the (4-0) Columbus Crusaders pay a visit to the host (3-1) Mogadore Wildcats.


Zeke Cameron would lead an opening scoring drive for the Wildcats. He found Devin Graham in the flat for the games first pass, picking up 8 yards on the catch. On 2nd and short, Austin Constantine would take the handoff and surge for the first down. Layne Cameron's first catch of the night went for 26 yards, putting Mogadore in Crusader territory. Another Constantine run set up a Zeke Cameron scamper. Cameron's run out of bounds was followed up with a deadball penalty on Columbus, setting Mogadore up with first and goal from the Crusader 5. Cole Reese picked up 4, before his next carry would take him to pay dirt for the touchdown. Constantine's point-after try was good, giving the Wildcats a 7-0 lead.



Austin Bauer took the snap, and an array of Crusader fumbles would follow suit, backing them up. Mykell Andrews picked up 5 on his first reception of the evening, but on 3rd and 10, Columbus was unable to move the chains forcing a punt. With possession again, the Wildcats would strike again. The drive starting off on a 16 yard catch and run by Layne Miller. A few plays later, Cameron hit Corey Lehner over the top for the touchdown. Mogadore's lead jumping to 14-0 after another Constantine extra-point.



The stagnant Crusader offense only mustered 8 yards between 3 plays, forcing another punt. Constantine found running room for an 8 yard gain. Miller caught another Zeke Cameron pass for a chunk play of 9 yards. Cole Reese picked up 10 yards to end the first quarter, Mogadore leading 14-0.



A Layne Miller catch and run opened up the 2nd frame, Miller picked up 18 yards to put Mogadore inside the 10, down at the 7. Chad Westfall found the end zone on the next snap, and following another successful point-after, the Wildcats led 21-0. Two plays into the Columbus drive, Bauer dialed up Mykell Andrews for a big gainer of 42 yards. Bauer's next pass was picked off on the goal line by Layne Miller, setting Mogadore up from their own 1-yard line. Zeke Cameron tried a QB keeper, but was tackled in the endzone for a safety. Bauer and the Crusader offense would start from their own 40. An 8-yard run from Ezekiel Bowie set up a strong drive. John Walters catch and run brought Columbus to the Wildcat 30 yard line. Bauer's next pass was picked by Devin Graham, who took it 60 yards all the way to the Crusader 32. A two play scoring drive for the Wildcats, Layne Miller got it started with a 14 yard reception, as Aaron Rumshlag took a carry up the middle for an 18 yard touchdown run.

Another Crusader punt gave Mogadore the ball with around a minute left in the half. A catch and run for 11 yards from Lehner set up a Devin Graham 22 yard touchdown run to polish off a dominant first half. The Wildcats leading 35-2.


Both Mogadore and Columbus exchanged punts throughout the running 3rd quarter clock. Karson Jaber would lead the Wildcats inside the Crusader 10 with time winding down in the 3rd. The opening play of the 4th was a Jaber touchdown pass to Hunter McElwain, capping off an explosive Wildcat offensive performance. With just seconds left in the 4th, Dom Carter found Jacob Kruse in the end zone for the Crusaders first touchdown of the game. A successful point-after capped of the game with the Wildcats winning 42-9.
