Magnificat girls beat Berea-Midpark 61-23 in Game 4 of the Cleveland Basketball Classic



Berea, OH- Game 4 of the inaugural first Cleveland Basketball Classic featured the Berea-Midpark Titans and the Magnificat Blue Streaks.


Magnificat started to impose their will, jumping out to a 5-0 start forcing the Titans to call a quick timeout 75 seconds into the game. From there, the bleeding just wouldn’t stop for Berea-Midpark. By the end of the first quarter, all 5 starters for Magnificat had at least one bucket to give the Blue Streaks a 25-4 lead.


The second quarter was no different for the Blue Streak who continued to keep their foot on

the gas giving Magnificat a 48-12 halftime lead. Brynn Roggenburk led all scores with 11.


Although down 36 to start the second half, Berea-Midpark had no quit in their heart. They outscored the Blue Streaks 8-7 in the third to sustain a form of stable offense they just couldn’t find in the first half. Talyssa Moody knock down back-to-back triples for the Titans to create a 6-0 run for them.


The fourth quarter was all Magnificat using missed shots from Berea-Midpark and turning them into transition buckets to secure the 61-23 victory over the Titans. Six players for the Blue Streaks had over 5 points led by Brynn Roggenburk with 12 points. Leading the way for Berea-Midpark was Rylee Szojka with 7 points.
