Certainly having the number one overall 2024 MLB draft pick in Eastlake this season has created excitement throughout Northeast Ohio.

But when that number one overall 2024 MLB draft pick, Travis Bazzana, drove in the game winning run on Thursday night to lead the Lake County Captains to the Midwest League Championship Series, the elation reached peak levels.

Initially going behind early, Bazzana helped spur the Captains' comeback with a home run and a game winning single to help defeat the Dayton Dragons, 5-4.

After the Dragons took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning, the Captains got a run back in the bottom of the fourth inning when Guardians 26th ranked prospect, Jake Fox, went yard.
