Ohio State Flies to Victory 49-20

Ohio State once again went in to a cold and windy East Lansing and take down the Spartans. This was a performance that made TBDBITL jealous as they marched down the field on multiple 75-plus yard drives. They did it this time with an air raid attack, as the Buckeyes came up with big play after big play. It was done by committee this time around as four different wide receivers came up with a touchdown and each of them went for over 100 yards.

C.J. Stroud continued his Heisman campaign after leading his offense to 563 yards and 49 points. He was responsible for six passing touchdowns for the second time in his career against Michigan State and 361 yards on 81% completion. He did have one mishap, as on the second drive of the game he threw a pick-six to the defense after a miscommunication between him and Emeka Egbuka. He now is second all-time in Ohio State history for career passing touchdowns after he threw his 68th against Michigan State. J.T. Barrett holds the record with 104.

TreVeyon Henderson went for over 100 yards and a touchdown on the ground in the first half with Miyan Williams out with a knee-injury. This was just the second time he's run for 100 yards this season after he dealt with a foot injury that he suffered earlier in the year that kept him out last week against Rutgers.

The defense for Ohio State played about as well as expected. In the first half, they held Michigan State to just 11 yards rushing and 113 yards passing and grabbed an interception thanks to Lathan Ransom. In the second half, the Spartans rushing totals actually dipped into the negatives going into the fourth quarter. They limited the Spartans offense to just a single touchdown while the starters were in. The defense was even better on third down on Saturday, as the Spartans only converted on three of their 11 third downs. The second unit did allow a fourth quarter score to MSU's backup quarterback.

Tommy Eichenberg continued his outstanding season making great play after great play and setting the energy levels early in the game grabbing a couple tackle for losses and a sack in today's game. Michael Hall Jr. would reintroduce himself to Buckeye nation this week applying pressure all afternoon and grabbed multiple sacks in the process.

Player of the Game: Marvin Harrison Jr.

In Saturday's game, he went for three touchdowns and 131 yards on seven receptions. He went up and over multiple defensive backs to make some very impressive catches that resulted in touchdowns in the short corner of the end zone. He was Stroud's favorite red zone target this week and had glue for hands every time the ball came his way. This was the third time in the last seven games that he has pulled in three touchdowns.
