The Euclid Panthers are revamped and ready to roll

Euclid, Ohio – It was a sunny Tuesday afternoon in Euclid as I visited their camp. This new and very much improved Euclid team is very confident and determined to have a turnaround season.

Euclid is coming off of a 1-9 season looking to make some noise. Not only are the Panthers getting key returners back like Robert King and Jamal Jefferson, but they also have two new transfers on their hands.

Marquise Hall and Dajahn Telfair both had huge impacts in Padua’s regional final run last season.

Hall can prove to be a great addition to both sides of the ball, he finished with rushing 882 yards with 13 touchdowns on 7.7 yards per carry.

Hall really prides himself on being a well rounded football player. When asked about the skillset he can bring to the table he said this, “I really came in as a running back…. I’m actually an athlete, I can play any position.”

He also made noise defensively finishing last season with 117 total tackles, and 5 sacks at the linebacker position.

Jamal Jefferson is a very high profile defensive back. He was honored with being selected to All-Ohio 3rd team defense. He has multiple division one offers from schools like Kent State, and Ball State university.

Sophomore quarterback Robert King could be a name to look out for. He started several games last year including Euclid’s win versus Erie highschool football.

Euclid kicks off their season at home against Austintown Fitch. August 18th at 7 PM.

They also have new foes in their conference in Shaker in Cleveland Heights.

“When you say Shaker, when you say Cleveland Heights, the big difference is they know they know these kids…. They look forward to competing against those teams.”
