Trinity Trojans pull away against the Crestwood Red Devils to win 55-43



Mantua, OH - Crestwood hosted Trinity on Monday night for a thriller of a game.


To start the game both teams went back and forth scoring just as much as each other.


The teams looked identical in the first quarter both offensively and defensively, as the quarter ended 14-14.


Trinity in the second quarter started out strong, scoring what seemed like every time they touched the ball, while Crestwood didn't seem to have an answer.


Luckily for the Red Devil fans, the team was able to start scoring and playing defense keeping it a close game going into halftime with the Trojans up 30-26.



Entering the 3rd quarter the competitiveness picked up for both teams.


Trinity looked great offensively putting up 10 points, while their defense played outstanding not allowing Crestwood to catch up to their lead.


The Red Devils fought to put up points, but nothing was going their way this quarter, but they were able to keep the game relatively close at 40-32.


In the 4th quarter, the Trojans made sure to close out the game putting up 15 points and playing good defense.


Crestwood was able to put up 11 points, but ultimately fell short losing the game 55-43.



The Red Devils star of the night was guard Charlie Schweickert as he put up more points than anyone else on the court with15 while committing only 2 fouls.


Trinity's star player was guard Dom Locklear who led team with 13 and didn't have a single foul in tonight's contest.


Crestwood will look to get back on track at Grand Valley on Monday while Trinity goes for two in a row Wednesday at Cuyahoga Heights.
