Even with the black cloud over Berea as the Cleveland Browns wait for the Deshaun Watson suspension news to drop, inside the building, the vibes are great and strictly football related.
Amari Cooper was brought in this off-season for a 2022 fifth-round pick and 2022 sixth-round pick swaps to be Watson's new top target. The former first-round selection out of Alabama says he calls his new signal caller, "The Magician".
“I just have to make the job easy for whoever it is … that’s my goal every time I line up out there,” Cooper said. "He just makes plays."
Watson is making his presence felt and not letting the looming suspension get in the way of the bigger picture. It feels as if Watson knows he’ll be on the field at some point this season, so he wants to get on the same page with his key pieces on offense but also with everyone on the team.
