Guardians top ranked prospect Chase DeLauter is heating up at the plate as he has started the series with the Erie Seawolves going 4-6 with a home run

It was a beautiful night for baseball in Akron, Ohio on Thursday night as the Akron Rubberducks hosted the Erie Seawolves in the third of a six game series.
Taking the mound for the Rubberducks on Thursday night was Tom Mace who pitched four scoreless innings to start the game.

Although the Rubberducks got out to a 2-0 lead after 4 innings, the Seawolves scored five runs in the fifth and four in the eighth to defeat the Rubberducks, 9-3.
Leading the Rubberducks early was the Guardians number one ranked prospect, Chase DeLauter.

DeLauter then stole second base and scored on Aaron Bracho's single to right field.

Leading 1-0 in the fourth, the Rubberducks extended their lead to 2-0 when third basemen Christian Cairo hit a solo home run over the center field wall.

Trailing 2-0, the Seawolves scored five runs in the top of the fifth inning to take a 5-2 lead over the Rubberducks.
The Rubberducks added a run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a solo home run by Khalil Watson to make the score 5-3.
Leading the Rubberducks at the plate on Thursday night was DeLauter who was 2-3 on the night.Â
The Rubberducks and Seawolves split the first two games of the series as Akron won Tuesday's game, 6-0, and Erie took Wednesday's game 4-0.
In Tuesday's 6-0 shutout of over the Seawolves, the Rubberducks used four pitchers.
Ryan Webb started and threw five innings of scoreless baseball and had five strike outs.
Ross Carver then relieved Webb and threw two innings of shutout baseball.
Jack Leftwich pitched the eighth and Andrew Walters closed out Tuesday's 6-0 victory with a scoreless ninth.
Leading the Rubberducks offensively in Tuesday night's 6-0 victory included four players with two hits each.
DeLauter was 2-3 with a home run and 2 RBI on Tuesday.
Over his last two games against the Seawolves, DeLauter is 4-6 at the plate.
In addition, Kahlil Watson (2-4 with a triple), Yordys Valdes (2-4, 2 RBI), and Aaron Bracho (2-4) all had multiple hits on Tuesday night.
The Rubberducks return to the diamond on Friday night when they host the Seawolves in the fourth of their six game series.
The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
