Major League Baseball announced Tuesday afternoon the current list of players who have committed to compete in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday, July 15th at Global Life Field.
Excitingly for Cleveland Guardians fans, the MLB announced that Jose Ramirez will be competing in the Home Run Derby.
Ramirez has had a great first half of the 2024 season as he hit 23 home runs.
This will be Ramirez's second time participating in the Home Run Derby.
Ramirez first participated in the Home Run Derby in 2022. In that derby, Ramirez hit 17 first round home runs but was defeated by Juan Soto.
In addition to Ramirez, other American League players to commit to the T-Mobile Home Run Derby include Gunnar Henderson (Baltimore Orioles - 27 HR), and Bobby Witt Jr. (Kansas City Royals - 15 HR).
Currently, three National League players have committed to participating in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby including Pete Alonso (New York Mets - 18 HR), Alec Bohm (Philadelphia Phillies - 11 HR), and Marcell Ozuna (Atlanta Braves - 23 HR).
The T-Mobile Home Run Derby can be seen on Monday, July 15th at 8pm EST on ESPN.
